PHYSICIAN-LED POSTPARTUM MEDICINE
The most underserved chapter of a woman's life deserves more than a pamphlet and a checklist. Beyond Baby MD offers physician-led pelvic health education and evaluation for women during pregnancy and the first year after birth.
Physician-guided recovery : Compassionate, confidential care

Many women experience bladder leakage, pelvic pressure, core weakness, or pain with intimacy after childbirth—yet are frequently told these symptoms are simply an inevitable reality of motherhood. While common, they are neither permanent nor untreatable.
At Beyond Baby MD, we provide dedicated, specialized evaluation designed to accurately diagnose postpartum physical changes and construct a clear, physician-guided path toward lasting recovery and renewed physical confidence.
A structured, physician-led framework designed to guide mothers through every stage of recovery with clarity, compassion, and clinical excellence.
Leaking when you cough, laugh, or lift is common after birth. It's also treatable.
Always scouting for the nearest bathroom? That's overactive bladder — and it's very manageable.
Guidance on treatment options and referrals to pelvic floor physical therapists and other specialists.
Trouble controlling gas or stool after birth is more common than anyone admits — and it's treatable.
Ongoing pelvic, vaginal, or sit-bone pain after birth is not something you have to live with.
Sex isn't supposed to hurt after a baby — and when it does, there's help.
We recommend scheduling an evaluation 8 to 12 weeks after delivery. This timing allows your body to begin its initial recovery while still catching any pelvic floor changes early, before they have a chance to worsen.
The evaluation looks at bladder and bowel function, vaginal support, sexual health, pelvic pain, and the abdominal wall — a full picture of how your pelvic floor and core are recovering after childbirth.
Common concerns include bladder leakage and urgency, pelvic organ prolapse, bowel control problems, painful intercourse and pelvic pain, and abdominal separation (diastasis recti). These are common after childbirth, but they're not something you simply have to live with.
Beyond Baby MD is physician-led. Education and evaluations are guided by Neeraj Kohli, MD, MBA, a board-certified urogynecologist and former Chief of Urogynecology at Brigham and Women's Hospital, a Harvard teaching hospital.
